I don’t want to read any serious books
Please don’t give me those serious looks
It’s Saturday and I want to play
We can be serious some other day
God says the Sabbath should be kept holy
It means eat some Swiss cheese, or perhaps a cannoli
Just don’t run around, chasing “likes” across town
Or searching for more jewels for your precious crown
It’s called a day of rest, cats do it best
Take a nap in the sun / Put your paws in the sun
And then you go have some fun / And don’t get up till your done
You say,”What about chores? They won’t go away
They’ll just pile up if we don’t start today”
I say, “Chores are a bore, you can do so much more
If you ask yourself, what are you choring for?”
I hate to debate, can you relate?
The energy it takes makes me so irate
Why don’t we pack up our egos and perk up our ears
Cause it’s only when we listen that we can hear
Chorus
We burn energy and gas to get somewhere else
So we don’t have to be alone with ourselves
What is we just stayed home, what would we observe
Looking out the window at this beautiful world?
It’s getting kinda serious now, I need to go
All this deep thinking’s interrupting my flow
If you want to continue this conversation
Send my cat a friend request when he’s off of vacation
